I earned my PhD in the Philosophy Department at Boston College. I also hold a BA in Philosophy from the School of Politics, Philosophy, and Public Affairs at Washington State University and am a proud graduate of the Running Start program at Wenatchee Valley College.
Teaching undergraduates, especially in core courses for non-majors, is the source of my greatest joy. I love drawing students into the great intellectual conversations that await them and showing them that college level education can also provide them the opportunity to become joy-filled lifelong learners who care well for those around them. I am committed to developing innovative active learning pedagogies and am eager to serve faculty interested in implementing role-playing and gameful pedagogies in their own classrooms.
Before coming to Gonzaga, I was a visiting research scholar at Baylor University.
When I'm not teaching my dog, Beowulf, the finer points of logic and paleontological research, I enjoy rooting for the Washington State Cougars and the Gonzaga Bulldogs in their many athletic and academic endeavors and wrangling questions in philosophical theology with my husband.
